In late 2025, I embarked on a journey I still can't quite believe - becoming the proud owner of Palmaira Sandals Australia.

Based in Brisbane, Queensland, I feel incredibly fortunate to be continuing the Palmaira Sandals Australia story. Palmaira isn't just a business to me; it's been my favourite shoe brand for years, and I still pinch myself that I get to share these beautiful sandals with women all over Australia.

Originally from the UK, I've always appreciated the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle and the beauty of handcrafted leather goods. Shoes have been a lifelong passion of mine, and I firmly believe every outfit deserves a pair of statement shoes - the kind people stop and ask you about.

From Marketing Brands to Owning My Favourite One

For more than 25 years, I've worked in marketing and communications with a number of well known retail and e-commerce brands. Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do. I love bringing ideas to life, telling stories and most of all connecting with people.

That passion, combined with my love of shoes, makes Palmaira the perfect fit.

My Love Affair with Palmaira Began Seven Years Ago

I discovered Palmaira Sandals as I was looking for statement shoes, that were made to last, comfy to wear and designed for style. Palmaira's quickly became my everyday shoes and the start of my ever-growing Palmaira collection.

One pair soon became two... and then three... because once you've experienced the comfort and versatility of Palmaira's, it's hard to stop at just one colour!

Today, I literally wear Palmaira's every day. Living in Brisbane means sandals are a year round staple, and as a busy mum, a marketing professional, a business owner and someone constantly on the go, I need shoes that can keep up with me. Comfort is non-negotiable, and Palmaira's deliver every single time. 

Life Beyond the Sandals

I'm also mum to my wonderful (and delightfully sassy) eight-year-old mini-me, who has inherited my love of shoes. Between family life, work life and running Palmaira Sandals Australia, life is wonderfully busy, and I know first-hand how important it is to have stylish shoes that you can wear all day and night long.

More Than Shoes - It's a Community

What I love most about Palmaira is that women don't just buy a pair and move on. Palmairas become part of their wardrobe and their lifestyle. Time and time again, customers come back for another colour, another style, or another pair for their everyday adventures.

My mission is simple: to introduce even more Australian women to the incredible comfort, craftsmanship and timeless style of authentic Menorcan avarca sandals. I want our customers to feel as excited about slipping on their Palmairas as I do every single day.
